How to repair Windows 7 in sony vaio without any C.D/DVD/USB

Hello,
My sony Vaio E series(vpceh35en) comes with pre-installed win 7 home basic, freezes during and after startup. Network icon in the taskbar freezes too(blue circle stops rotating). I’ve updated everythnstaing including drivers etc but no luck so far. Now I’ve last option reinstall/recover/repair. I’ve 2 drives C drive(system) & D drive(Personal stuff). So my Question is If i perform factory reset will i lost all the data from both the drives or will i lost only data from C drive.
I’ve created any recovery Disk etc. please help what to do now coz i think some of my system file is either damaged or missing

Hello,
If you choose to repair, then all your personal data will be ok (even in this case, a back-up is recomanded).
If you choose recovery to factory settings, all data will be lost. Not sure in your case when you have 2 drives (C: and D:) because usually you have only C:. This process will format your drive and reinstall Windows as a brand new copy. Therefore, a back-up copy of your data is mandatory.
I recommend you to take a USB stick and install there a copy of Ubuntu or other Linux distribution with Live option (bootable). Boot from you usb stick and choose Live option. You will enter Linux (e.g. Ubuntu) without making any changes to your PC and there you will be able to access your HDD and make a copy of your data.
Let me know if you need further help.
Regards,
Bogdan
